If you thought that the tannery is full of actions, smells and sights, wait until I take you to the leather Bourse’. It was not an easy task entering the place. I was allowed to enter but “no photograph, no photograph” was heard by an angry bunch of merchants. They actually told me I could photograph one individual who turned out to be blind.  How generous!

Determined to photographed I used the old “trick” of a bakshish (a gift of money which an Oriental expects and demands for many trifling services) and got  the permission to photograph.  I believe it was worth it.  the light in there was spectacular, the atmosphere was kind of mysterious, an Oriental market at its best.
