Drag is used for any clothing carrying symbolic significance but usually referring to the clothing associated with one gender role when worn by a person of another gender.. Drag is practiced by people of all sexual orientations and gender identities.

There is a long history of drag in the performing arts, spanning a wide range of cultural as well as artistic traditions. Cross-dressing elements of performance traditions are widespread cultural phenomena.

My interest in these young adults stems from the fact that one of the performers is my friends’ son who I believe is an extremely talented and bright man.  knowing him for his entire life  made me understand his personal interest in gender issues and his commitment to gender rights. I salute his performance and courage to be “himself”
