I think the images talk for themselves. If I could personalize Romania, I would say that I believe it is is one of the more photogenic countries. It evokes a nostalgic yearn for the old and traditional way of living, its tranquillity is infectious and its rural population is gracious and welcoming. All that does not erase the harsh conditions and primitive living one observe along the winding roads of Romania. In fact, horse drawn carriages are more common than cars. A romantic scene on its own, a difficult life for the villagers. Herding sheep and cows make for wonderful frames, but indicate a low income for many. So what am I trying to say? It is hard to separate the views from those who live there and experience the difficulties …
